Boilers

The boiler is the engine of the distillery. Its where the energy is put in, normally using an immersion element with a Bumpkin, and how the alcohol rich vapour is generated.
Bumpkin offers three sizes of boiler and 2 designs.
The milk can boiler is available in 50, 100 and 200 Litres. It’s a stainless-steel design with a triclamp fitting on the top which is where the column is attached to, with a port in which to fit an electric element and a port to fit a dry running sensor. Although the boiler is not in copper- with copper being desirable in some cases for its ability to remove sulphur compounds – the column can be.
The copper pot, also available in 50, 100 and 200 litres, is the premium choice and, being copper, offers the advantage of sulphur reduction and aesthetics. The copper pot is equip with the same fittings as the milk can boiler.
