Description
Having a copper helmet in your distilling system has a number of benefits, it acts as an expansion chamber preventing over boil. By far the largest benefits is its role in passive reflux. The helmet slows down the vapour and uses the large surface area to condense some of the spirits, this process results in a higher abv.
The copper helmet is manufactured using C12200 red copper, designed specifically for pressure vessels and contains 99.9% pure copper, giving excellent performance upon heat treatment.
